Went in to town to watch the gumball yesturday they left from pall mall and then headed down to the channel tunnel ,

All i can say is it was amazing !

The german police has seized some of the cars....

Team Polizei make it first to the German Autobahn Police Checkpoint! Report is that the German Police are holding onto the cars until noon tomorrow, after the planes leave Hahn for Istanbul.

Update: The Gumballers are pulled over on the A61 from the Dutch border towards Frankfurt. There’s over 50 police cars on the spot taking the Gumballers in, checking drivers licenses and registration in temporarily offices that are just there for the Gumballers. According to people on the spot it was prepared very well by the German police.

Update: The Gumballers are being released in groups of 10 and are getting a police escort to Hahn Aiport.

he was joint owner of the Karen Millen and Whistles (the womens fashion shops) with Karen Millen herself... He now owns All Saints shops which are springing up everywhere. WOrks flippin hard when he doesnt have to, but cars like these are his reward

lol there were 5 in the garage last time i was at his place, but he may well have more in hiding.
 
One of my mates was in camden town the other day and saw these getting ready for gumball. I got this lil pic in mms :D

Apparently they decided against the veyron because it wouldnt be able to make the distance without needing various sets of new tyres and new wheels! The guy was explaining the outrageous running costs involved with keeping a veyron on the road. The wheels have to be replaced after a certain amount of miles and they were something like 18k per wheel. Nice.

They had 2x 911 GT2's on standby incase anything went wrong with the SLR. The driver also claimed that this rally will end up costing him around £2.3m....

£28,000 a car, additional £12,000 for a passenger...and this is a cheap year as it's a relatively simple European route.

Not all the cars are exotic, you always get a few quirky things. I think you just apply and hope for the best if you happen to have enough cash.

Wonder how for the Ford GT will get before it breaks down ;)

Hang on so your saying that the lady driving the Bugati is his wife or girlfriend.....:D i would work every hour god sent to be married to her :cool: .... did anyone else catch a glimpse of her? when she got out more people took shots of her than any of the other driving tat they had lined up ;)

you have to fund fines and petrol thou... and apparently everone got stopped in Germany, feckers took the event to be street racing and gave everyone 450 euro fine.... even if they werent doing anything.

Although 450 aint alot esp to these guys doesnt it piss you off that the germans would do this when the majority hadnt done anything wrong... apparently they fined onlookers as well!!!

yer bought it today, thought it was class. the guy was a prick though to mess with bams car, fucked up his rally.
 
my mate had to drive a Bently flying spur back, he got stopped in Germany doing 174! LOL 300euro fine, the owner had given him 1000euross to drive it back!
 
the romans graphics cost £4000 per vehicle. A friend of mine is good mates with the owner of the slr and 911 with the graphics. I have seeen a few clips such as 206 mph on the speedo and a carrera gt binning it in albania. I was told that is was poorly organised this year and not many people will be taking part next year
