GW Clio 200

They are nice, no doubt about it, though Subaru's best shape was the Hawk imo. The Hatch is nice like I say, but has totally lost the flat four burble.

Yeah I know, and like i say its in pristine condition so good as new. Excite about picking it up lol. Will be posting more pics, with my 182 in aswell probably :)

I don't think there are many lads who would talk their parents out of buying an STi and getting a clio instead ... :slap:

Completely baffled why you would want your parents to own a Renault and not a Subaru...... Quicker, infinitely more reliable and comes with a better rep then a clio. Anyways nice car enjoy.

Better 'rep'?

Care to elaborate? The Clio 200 is one of the most highly-rated performance cars you can buy for the money.

Only a chav would prefer the Impreza.

Mental thought process.

yeah exactly. The 200 does everything well without raping your wallet every time it needs servicing etc. Not sure why this guy is so baffled as I for one much prefer to own a Clio 200.

You'd be very surprised at servicing costs, let's take for example changing the cambelt on an STi, have a guess at the cost ....

Well put it this way, they used to own a Blob STi, servicing came to a tad over £700 at a dealer. a big service mind you, but not the point.

Relatively cheap. But then it's not surprising either... all the belts are right on the from of the block and are easily accessible.

It was more the 'rep' comment I was confused by. Every article I've read in the motoring press has done nothing but praised the 200.

The same can't be said of contemporary Imprezas. I'm not saying that they're a bad car; far from it... it's just a strange thing to say.

The word dealer in that sentence cost you then. I had the biggest service done at a specialist for £390 inc VAT and parts, which is mainly oils (engine, diff, gearbox) etc.

Im not argueing which is better, I prefer the Clio 200 and so do they. The impreza is nice but with only two of them going out in the car, 5drs isnt needed.

Put some miles on a clio and see how many trips to the dealer you will take in it. Put plenty more harder driven miles on a Subaru and it will laugh it off. How often do you see a Subaru (unless heavily modified) on a back of a recovery truck? Why do farmers go crazy for foresters? Because they are bullet proof cars and everyone knows this. And if you was looking at subaru's then I'm sorry but running costs aren't something you consider. Didn't say anything bad about the 200 they are nice little cars but just not in the same league as an impreza/Evo etc.

A Subaru isnt in the same league as a Ferrari, whats your point? ones expensive, others very expensive. Totally different cars.

Anyway, Its pick up day for the 200. Pics will follow later today once we have it home etc.

Strange child.

Lol at an Impreza, the definition of chav wet dream material, having a better reputation than a Clio. No.

Anyways, nice 200.
