H&R coilovers

  Clio II and Grand Modus

My Clio 1.6 has just got it´s new H&R adjustable suspension......Will say it´s as low as it can be on my 17" 205/40- because of the bumbers. The car is from 1999.

About -65mm and can´t see how it can be any lower, because then the tyres will scrub on the bumbers front and back. The ph2 clio must have more room around the arch than my ph1 clio II???

Well, i dont remember Toms pre-facelift having different arches to mine..in fact i could swear they were identical..he was lowered 60mm

The bumbers sticks a bit in to the archs making the limit, the arch itself is fine.... but thinks it´s low enough to me!! -65mm on 17´s is low me think....The rims are ET 38 so can´t be that.

Where the bumber meets the wing above the right red circle.....My bumber has been pulled a little bit out so it´s not scrubbing....Backs´s the same but only on full lock.......No scrubbing when driving

Remember I run on 17´s the pic is 16´s also the silver clio above looks like 16´s????

Well you should be alright really, as Mike says, Freds almost double as low! Get some pics up soon though..maybe ill be able to see what you mean.

That grey is really nice, i sometimes wish i went for the Hologram Grey instead. Will look ace colour coded.

Nice drop..would say my rears slightly lower than that so 65mm seems right. What do the H&Rs go down to and how are you rating them so far?

Lose them lights doode!

-Rob

BTW if youre ET38 if you continued lowering the arches would clear..ive had 4 people in the back of mine..looked about -150mm and there was NO scrubbing.

The H&R go down to -70mm, so far i´m very pleased, glues to the ground. And a very good handling........Only had it on for 4 hours so need to drive a bit more before saying more.......

Well if you think lexus lights suit the car id hate to know what you look like on a friday night..john travolta?

Seriously, put the ph2 lights on and id think you will have a really smart car.

Mines dropped 60mm on just springs atm... & im getting FK coilovers (same as robfenn) & i dont think I will have any problems when its dropped 80mm on my 17s? Although I might chaff the front splitter abit!
But on my 60mm drop... i had 6 pplz in the car at once, and it never rubbed once (not over humps or on full lock?) You sure you have the right offset alloys?

Yes ET 38.....Had a Quick drive and it did not rub.....:D But the bumbers have been moved a bit, they seems to be too near the arch.....

Ah ok mate!

wicked :) How much were your coilovers? (if you dont mind me asking) and whats their lowering range they do? up to 70mm?

So ur bumpers have moved..? get them moved back then :D

Yes, up to -70mm.....No my bumpers have not moved, but been moved by the mechanic a bit to make enough space...yes.

The H&R coilovers costs like a small plane.......;) And we ain´t talking Cessna!!!!

That is one sweet looking motor. those wheels well suit it m8. Am ordering my H&Rs when i get back onshore. Currently lowered mine by 25mm allround, and get some scraping on front already (got 17" Speedline Turinis on it0, but its on the inside. Will prob take back down -40 to -45 i reckon. See how it goes!
