Had an idea... 182 cat on a 172... with a difference

Had a little idea to make my life a bit easier come MOT time.

I am currently running a decat, so have my 172 cat in the shed. Could I cut the cat out of this, and make some sort of sleeved 182 cat to fit this. Then also make a straight pipe the same.

So rather than having to mess with the annoying bolts/springs at the top, I could just undo the sleeve and slide the cat in and out of place as I please?

I was thinking about doing this to mine as I already have a 182 cat attached to my standard manifold. So yeah can't see why it wouldn't work.
