Had my service done, but....

  Ford Focus ST2
the garage i went too told me they done use 5w - 40 oil because they do not stock it!

They have refilled my car with oil using Mobil 1 0w - 40 Fully Synthetic oil

now i read the book and it says use 5w - 40 standard oil.

Should i be worried and well it do any damage to the engine?

Thanks
Rob

0-40 is a better oil from cold.
Fully synthetic is good type of oil. Better than stock semi synthetic.

You can use 0-40 its allowed in the Renault spec but its not the commonly used oil.

10w-40 will be fine , its for temperatures which go down to -20 degrees C , its also recommended for clio 182's in the service manual .

5w-40 is for temperatures which can go down to -25 degrees C which is also recommended in the service manual .

Yeah its the right stuff .Like i said , the 5w-40 is for colder climates down to -25 degrees C , 10w-30 is for climates down to -20 degrees C so unless you live in an arctic country it will be ok .

It tells you this in the service book .
