Had the Bora mapped and RR'd..

Now the fmic is on it was time for another remap. I have gained a shed load more torque and drives so much better now. I didnt realise how bad the inside edge was on my tyres though so it kept slipping in the rollers as it came on boost. Needless to say i have new tyres now so will have to go back for more tweakes.

Best it made power wise, feathering the throttle when it comes on boost slightly was 196.7bhp at the wheels with 267 ft/lbs. The fly figures were all over the place. 210, 220 so i've been advised to ignore them which tbh i do anyway.

Are you going to do any stealth mods to the FMIC then? Would really finish it off i reckon.

What's the interior like in it Tom?

Its a 1.8 20vt with a K03s.

Was mapped at Badger5 in Gloucester. Its a Revo stage 2+ which is a custom map rather than generic. Took him bloody hours to do but he's a 20v guru.

The intercooler is all black with the standard grills in now. Nobody notices it which is great. The interior is the same as the late spec Golf GTi's.

My mate has the red centred Recaros he's trying to sell me though. I think it'll be too much red though so i was Accord Type R recaro's in the front.
 
Bill FTW, thought I recognised the workshop. I've been following his work on a few BT/Hybrid turbo S3s.

So FMIC, presume 3" down pipe and cat back is on or next step as well?

The guy is a hero. He just loves cars especially vags. He always has about 4 20vts in having big turbo's fitted. I swear he just does it for the love.

It already has a 3" down pipe. I have a straight through centre section with the standard back box. No restrictions but quiet also. Bill said tbh the standard back box is fine until around the 300 mark.

Other mods are obviously fmic, 4 bar fpr, forge tip, filter etc. Basically i cant do anything else to the baby K03s..

Bill says a standard S3 exhaust is fine for 300 as well, seem to be good - as you've said, the restriction is the DP.

Yeah only a 4 bar for now. Injectors are needed for a hybrid though. I'm just going to get mine rebuilt to hybrid spec. Its basically a fettled K04 in a K03s skin so should be good for 280ish. Thats more than enough for a fwd tbh..

Anyhoo, it's great the way they can rehouse these turbos to allow for the Hybrids. A chap on Audisport.net has creeped to 318 on a hybrid K04s turbo. The interesting thing is (and ask Bill to have a gander next time you're around), he saw a massive jump (think it was 15bhp) with a Badger5 fabbed TIP!

Just needs a WMI kit to see him that little bit higher!

Im looking for a KO3s for mine but they are quite rare because they are so easy exchange for a KO3! :)

No theyre 18 x 8.5. Everyone seems to think theyre 19's..lol! Couldnt be doing that.

Yep hybids are the future and Bill at badger is the man! Take your car to him and you will understand. Its almost like he's working on a mates car. He's so chilled, will answer anything, doesnt rush. He can fabricate ANYTHING. He's just a legend and you dont find service like that anymore.

I dont think there's any single man in the UK with the knowledge he has. His ibiza is mental. There was a Polo GTi in the with 460bhp which he's built. He's made over 10 500bhp reliable 20v's..lol

Yeah it was a polo. The lad requested it to break 400bhp and even with a moddest map it was making 460..lol! The blokes a hero. His ibiza made 400 at actuator pressure..lol

He did have a red MK2 Golf in there with a huuuge turbo and lovely inlet being fitted when i was there. And another cupra..

Is the K03s from the mk4 anniversary golf??

Yeah it does shift. The K03s is small so boosts up quick too. Its used on the Anni's yeah.

Where's it to? Taking the piss of my fine accent? haha

He's in Gloucester mate...http://www.badger-5.com/ The website looks from the 70's but ignore that. Go to his workshop and marvel at the big turbo's, inlets everywhere and about 10 nice cars having major engine work..haha
