Halfords rant . . . .

Went to Halfrods on monday 26th to get my JVC Exad HU fitted had popped in a few weeks to reserve the unit was assured it will be there for when they fit it.

Arrive promptly at 12.30, walk to the desk where the fitting guy is standing give him my details

** Name , Time etc etc **

Halfords Guy
" Sorry sir we have sold that Headunit. "

Me
" Sold? i reserved it? "

Halfords Guy
" Yes sorry "

Me
" Will you be gettin anymore in? "

Halfords Guy "
" No, they are re launching a newer model and we dont have anymore in stock im afraid. "

" Eeeeeeeeeeeeep "

Turns out they have one in the southend branch and will be getting it for me soon , what a waste of my damn bed time ​

I had to go to halfords my dad is paying for the HU and so he wants the warranty and he seem to think they are specialist's :| i tried to tell him but got the old

unless i take a axe to my father steal his Debit card and go elsewhere Brain i will have to put up with halfords.

i work for halfords, I'm duty manager for a certain south east store. We do have a few muppets as staff but as everyone knows college and student employees don't give a s**t. I wouldn't want to work for peanuts. Retail industry suffers because of it. just take comfort in knowing that the more you rant within the store about a mess up, better discount given! Hope that helps when you get it fitted

Thats a shame, as there are a couple of good in-car specialists near you who would do a good job and stand by their work. It just goes to show the power of advertising.

totally agree with graham_172, i work there too part time uni boy, and alot staff dont give 2 hoots so thats why everyone looks like a wanker, and we dont get trained!!!!specialists my arse, never been trained by anyone who has a clue!!!!!!

the person who sold your reserved hu probly dont give a s**t, and makes the person on the day of fitting look like a c**k!!!good luck mate, ul need it!

In amendment to my Halford experience.

I ordered some 16" Pro Race 2's from the Uckfield branch 3 weeks ago now. After phoning every week without fail I found out earlier this week that they had never put the order in. (they had my £500 3 weeks ago..)

Today I phone. Order still hadn't been put in. Guy called me back and insisted they would be here in 3 weeks from now. I'm extremely upset and fustrated at this, however I can't get the wheels anywhere else without paying out £150 more elsewhere which I can't afford, so i'm forced to wait 21 more days.

All the time I have balding tyres.... I'm tempted to write to head office for all the good it will do.

yeah im thinking of telling them not to bother when they phone me up with the Hu just so they know what its like to have your time wasted.

And just get a Alpine 9850
