Hankook V12 better than conti sport?

  LY R26 230 F1 Team
After trawling through threads people reccomend the hankook v12 - a lot.

question is how do they stand up to the contisport's and pilot exalto's?

I have exalto's on the back and conti's on the front, but i hit a mahoosive rock and have destroyed one of my contis so wondered if it was worth swapping for Hankooks all round?

Cheers CS

Are they really that good? I need to replace my front 2 tyres which are conti's. So many different opinions im stuck with what to get lol.

The only V12s I see on camskill are 205s? Don't all 172s have 195 sections?

Are the V12's as stiff as the exaltos/contis. My only issue last time I tried a different road tyre to standard it felt like the car was floating about!

Don't worry the 205's fit fine on 172 wheels and look a little better...

Not had Exaltos but they're at least as stiff as the Contis I had and much stiffer than the Eagle F1's I had.

im loving mine! dont thinnk they have the bite of the F1's though but i recon they suit the car a bit better. car doesnt skip around so much!

dont think they are as good in the wet as the F1 gsd 3's tbh.... they seem great in the dry though

This is interesting

I currently have conti sport contact 2's on the rear and pirelli p-zero's on the front

I hate the pirelli - they just don't grip - love conti's had them on every car i've owned for last 5+ years
But they are expensive

I might give hankook v12's a go

Is 205/45/16 perfectly ok on the standard wheels then?

Decent tyre but not as good as PE2s by quite a margin IMO. PE2 are better in the dry and much better in the wet from my experience, I'll be going back to PE2 or whatever they've been replaced with when it comes to replacing tyres.

I'm a student and rather skint atm otherwise I'd be doing the same thing, I think for £60 the hankooks are worth a punt though.
