Hard drive fucked? got some plum in it!

Took HDD to work for a mate, it midly crushed a plum and got some juice underneath it, now all it does is click! fucked? or shall i wait for it to dry or something?

Plums are far too soft for hard drive mounting. Next time try something a little firmer like lemons, they will still absorb sound and vibration but won't spurt their load.

Sounds like the love juice of your plum has shorted out something on the HD's motherboard.

Ditch it and get another plum.

AHA it seems you were wrong, i've had it running killdisk and i rekon it must of heated up the juice inside and dried it off and it seems to be formatting it ok now!

There are some places that can get the data off it, but if it contains a folder like Gary Glitters Favourites, then you're best writing it off.

Mine did the same. Took it to work, click click click.

Bought a HD caddy and everything to try and get the data off it. Ended up buggering the caddy up to.
