Harder compound tyres

I know my cars not setup suspension wise but insurance is easy like this plus my back isn't killing me. However I need some better tyres for track work I love the Conti sports I use but you can see after just a few laps where the tread has litrally been pulled away when the tyre on the limit.
I have to run at 37psi cold so that it doesn't go wear the words around the edge to much but its not an ideal situation. as the tyre wears in the center massively.
Does anyone have any recomendations for a harder side wall tyre would slicks give me the hardness to not destroy the sidewall? I know the cars handling so I'm not woried about the snappyness of them.
PS no remarks about getting suspension mods the cars going to be sold soon plus I don't want to fiddle or any any insurance issues.

I think you should invest in a pyrometer so you can actually measure and read what the tyre is trying to tell you.

Over inflation will lead to overheating and rubber actually tearing from the carcass, rather than wearing.
