harsh suspension, help!

  clio 172 flame red
afternoon, im in the middle of making my 172 baby friendly or it might have to go.
when i bought the car it came low as hell, all i know is that the back springs are yellow or light orange but its a bone shaker and its not going down well with me or the pregnant wife.. everything i hit is far too harsh
roads round my end aint the best and full of speed b******s so what options do i have?? whats the oem standard springs like? or is there something aftermarket that gives a soft ride? im thinking these are apex or some sort but they will be up forsale or swap asap if theres some local near middlesbrough :)

cheers

Yellow and harsh riding springs might be Apex's finest. I have a set of standard springs lying around. Drop me a pm if you're interested.

The springs in my 182 ff (182 with spoiler and cup pack) ride fine and the 172 is softer. You can feel it's hard but it doesn't bang or crash. I would have thought standard would be a cheap good bet. At least until your missus is less fragile and you can put some harder ones back In Should you wish.

Ditto. i could of almost wrote that.(apart from pregnant wife) i am having the same issues with my recently purchased 172.
At first it didnt seem too bad as on main roads it rides fine, but get on any rough B roads and it crash's and there seems to be no give in the springs.
I know mine are Apex btw. But i'm pretty sure its on standard dampers and it feels as though the dampers are taking all the force and getting no help from the springs.
The slightest road repair or small pot hole feels like im running it up a curb.
I hear eibach pro line are one of the best? Can anyone confirm this? As i too want to change to something more user friendly.
