So, about 4 months ago I was sat looking on facebook when I noticed one of my parents friends were selling their little black clio. Not knowing what it was or really anything about it, I asked how much they wanted for it and if I could pop down for a look. After getting the price to what I could afford she agreed to let me come for a little look around and see what all the fuss was about. As soon as I clapped eyes on it in the flesh I knew I HAD to own this car! With only 19800 on the clock for the price I offered it was the bargain of the century(Don't really want to disclose the price but let me assure you, it was a bargain). After a few questions and a bit of gossip she told me the car had been sat for going on for 3 years as she had bought a RS200 Cup and not really thought of selling it prio to now. She had it MOT'd and serviced (which without going into detail took almost 3 months, friend of hers was doing it) which gave me time to get the money together for the car. Here's how she stands so far, there's a few things to tidy up and a few mods I'd like to make but so far she's completely standard and has been as far as I know for it's entire life!
(first time uploading to a proper forum apologies if they're too small/big!)
Obviously there's the wing mirror issue! But that's a cheap fix (I'm supprised it got through the MOT with it like that). Would like to refurb the wheels, but I'd prefer some 16" pro race 1.2s. A nice cup spoiler would set it off lovely, a snappy retrim for the steering wheel as mine isn't bad with the melting, but after driving it around for a few hours leaves a nasty black mark on my palms. And last but not least, I'd like to lower it, and I've read quite a bit about these Cooksport springs, they seem to be the way to go.
