Has anyone experienced this problem (182)

Basically when accellerating rapidly in 1st gear then going for a quick change to 2nd it struggles to engage?! and before anyone says anything i can drive lol.

Obviously now and again some people have problems changing gear through sloppyness, que the phrases if you cant find it, grind it or there all there pick one etc etc.

Clutch is fully depressed and no messing about with the gear stick ...straight down, but feels like the gate isnt open or something and that its grinding. Dont really have much understanding of gearboxes but hopefully someone on here does and might be able to explain whats happening?

I know my previous 172 had warranty work on the gear box before I bought it.

I get this on my 172 MK2. I started the following thread a while back.

I mentioned that I had problems going from 2nd to 3rd, but the problem is going from 1st to 2nd, like yourself.

I had this problem too matey, i put it down to general user error as it may happen 1 in 50 changes, so then i consider renault would not find a fault on it as usual.

182blue, its 6 months old...covered around 6k.

It rarely happens to be fair, just curious to what causes it...dont think its user error, seems like a mechanical issue due to the feel when trying to engage.

Doesnt stick, all other gears are fine (2nd to 3rd is a little notchy, thinking that is common tho) Occurs most frequently when travelling slowly in 1st up to around 4k then booting it, go for the change but when i pull the gear stick down it physically does not want to go in...maybe its jus my driving and im rushing the car or something lol.

mine used to get stuck in first when raging it i would have to give the lever a smack to shift it

mines sometimes gay going from 2nd to third, really embarassing crunch, not good when over taking
