Has anyone got GAZ coilovers?

  Golf
Ave got them and a like them, set them up right and the fine on track aswell....... People on hear will say there s**t and get h&r etc
Am not gonna argue with them as ave never driven a car fitted with H&R or KW on track or road so carnt say what GAZ are like compared to those

I had a set on my 172 mk1 and its the worst think I'd ever done never could get them set up right, either too hard or too soft.

IMO pay the extra and get H&R's, you maybe able to get a second hand set if your lucky.

I had H+Rs and set them up myself, was a huge improvement over standard. Havent heard any bad things about H+R except the odd leaking damper.

Heard loads of bad things about GAZ though. They can go for as little as £150 on ebay due to the reputation, I would try them if the price was right.

I'm the same as Jamie, No real problems but on really shitty roads they can feel a bit harsh,

Got mine really cheap though so cannot complain :D

Yup ... they are on mine .. they go from soft (like standard 172) to much much firmer !!

there is no bouncing .. i have no problems, and that is even when it is on full soft. my kit is only 2 months old though.

for the money you would be better with koni adjustables and a decent set of springs.
if you must have coilovers, (and will you be changing the ride height once they have been set up?) then go for h&r, kw or ast in my opinion.
