Has this happened to you

Twice now all my dash lights have come on whilst driving.The engine hasnt stalled and the car runs o.k. they only stay on for a couple of seconds ?

Anyone any ideas. Its a 2002 172.

Poor connection on the alternator / switch to do with the alternator / Alternator on its way out????

Could mean theres a problem - but intermittent and one of these days the car could just die, where all dash lights come on and you wont restart it.

Could be completely and utterly wrong though!!!!????
