Have KTec sent me the wrong brake pads?

Hiya,

I ordered some Ferodo DS2500 pads from KTec and on the pads it says -

Fronts - FDS565
Rears - FDS588

I have taken my front wheel off and checked it against one of my OE front pads and it seems to be the same size. My only concern is two of the four Ferodo front pads have a brake sensor wire on it but my old one do not?

So my question is can I use these pads on my Clio 182 54 plate or should I send them back?

I would ring them but they are now closed! grrrrrrrr

They should not have sensors on them, so assume they are wrong. They should have ds2500 printed on the back of the pad

part number is FCP565H (will say that on the back of the pads)

grrr so they arent ds2500s then..... are they even suitable for a clio 182?

that's not a DS2500 part number, i reckon they've sent you the DS Performance pads

edit just checked, they will fit, but they're NOT from the race range, they're the road range ie DS Performance


future reference, DS2500's are £95 delivered from me

Found what they have sent me on their website. That picture in link above is what I have in front of me - Fronts - FDS565.

Ferodo website says these pads arent suitable but they look identical to the FCP565 (front) and FCP558 (rears) which do fit in the link below......

Does anyone know if the ones I have been sent will be ok if i fit them?

Im going to be having a right go at KTec on Monday!!!!!

Before Badmouthing them, how about speaking to them first, If its a Genuine mistake I am sure that the team at K-Tec will put it right, they are usually bob on as many a person on here will vouch for.

TBH giving them a going over before trying to sort it out is not really fair, and is less likely to make them as inclined to help you (Well it would do me).

they've just sent you the DS Performance instead of the DS2500, simple enough mistake to make

the ones you have will fit

yeah they seem to fit.... should i just cut off the brake sensor wire?

i really wanted ds2500s but since i need my car tomorrow ill have to make do.

is it in bedded into the pad material? just chop it off
