Havign probs uprating my brakes! PLEASE HELP!

ok basically went to scrappy and ask for 2 valver front calipers, then he produced 2 but as i was leaving i noticed 1 of them had a longer carrier then the other, i pointed this out and he gave me a diff 1, so have gave me 2 calipers with the shorter carriers out of the 2 choices, then i went and bought disks and pads, got home whipped off the caliper on my 1.4 and disk stuck the new disk on and when i went to fit the carrier frm the valver calipers it wasnt long enough to reach where it bolts onto! it was hitting off the edge of the disk b4 it got to the bolt holes!

i then compared the "new valver" caliper to my old 1 i took off and the carriers were near enough i identical! they were both the same length (frm outside to the bit that bolts onto the car. so have i got the wrong discs or calipers? if its calipers im gonna b mad, i asked the scrappy if he was positive he was giving me the rite 1's as i was leaving!

dnt worryppl mat brown came to the rescue! it seems that the scrappy gave me 5gtt calipers, as the caliper is idnetical btu shorter carrier and it uses the same pad!

Yeah was gonna say, the gtt and valver calipers are teh same just different carriers for them

Yeah dont trust them unless they really really know the car, generic scrappues robably wont
