Hawk brake pads..

I'm getting my compbrake 4 pots fitted in the next couple of weeks, the pads that came with them were the HPS [fast road/track] Hawk brake pads.

What's the braking performance like with these from cold?

from cold.... none existent.

make sure you do 3-4 good stops before you need to rely on them.

not too bad once up to temp tho.

As it's used as a daily driver would i be better with a set of Ferodo DS2500's then?

i have no problems with the HPS pad from cold, they do get better with heat but there not too bad when cold...

the race pad is a b**ch though.

ds2500's are very good. that's what i'm running on my compbrake 4 pot setup
