HD enclosures

Has anyone used or got one of the Media enclosures that you can place a hard drive in and then connect it straight to your tv? I am thinking of buying one, and bought a external seagate freeagent 500gb hard drive today but wondering if I shoudl take it back and buy an enclosure?

Most of the time it's not worth it price wise. I bought one but it doubled up a network storage unlike most.

If you buy the enclosure and hard drive you tend to pay more than what you would with the deals that are out there.

Seems decent for £15 if it works as it says it does, the postage would put me off getting it as it makes it expensive then.
