HDCP and VGA.....

im considering buying a blueray drive for my PC. The 8800GT im running is HDCP compliant however the card is connected to my monitor via the use a VGA/DVI converter as my monitor does not support DVI. Will this effect the HDCP compliance of the connection?

VGA won't carry the HDCP.

Get a new monitor.

There are workarounds. Just have to go searching on the net. Dont think it is really fair that you have to upgrade your monitor to watch things you have purchased legally.

So use a workaround.

I hope there are. The 24' widescreen I've got is only 6 months old
