Head Unit Issues

For some unknown reason (probably quite a simple solution), my head unit will not save anything in memory, so everytime the ignition is switched off/on, all the station presets and all settings are all reset.

Also, the head unit usually folds up when its powered on/off. This doesn't happen anymore either, which is a bit dodgy as the head unit is constantly on show now, which is never good.

The head unit is an Alpine CDA-7998R.

i had that problem before just check the wiring my problem was the remote wire and another wire was mixed up just check to see if each colour matches each ova eg yellow to yellow and do u buy a proper iso cable wen u fitted the headunit?

Yellow and red leads swap them around.
