Head unit not remembering settings

Yesterday i installed a stalk adaptor and thought it worked fine. Today however, the heat unit doesnt remember any settings when it turns back on, and the ipod keeps plying the track that it was playing through the head unit even when the cars off.
What have i done wrong?

The lead to supply power to the headunit when the ignition is off, so its like unplugging the head unit when you switch off the ignition. Not sure exactly which wire to swap. I think its red/yellow but Im not 100%

yup you need to swap the red and yellow wires round and then your headunit should keep its memory

Aha ok, cheers for that. Thing is i took it back to halfrauds in the end
I'll know for future reference. Definately gonna buy one from incartec i think, at least that makes the display do something

did the headunit work ok before you installed the stalk adapter then?

the incartec adapters are very good, i have one in my mk2. no probs at all with it

Yea head unit worked fine before and after, just with the sh*tty autoleads thing in it didnt! plus i had to dissassemble the dash for that, and apparently with the mk2 ph1 you dont have to with incartec
