head unit problems

put a new head unit and speakers in, its just a fli swat 5.
Was working perfectly, now it decides to turn itself of and loose all the stations/time, the power button flasshes on and off all the time, sometimes it will work sometimes it wont.
Its obviously a live wire problem, was just wondering if anyone has had similar problems?
Its a 172 mk2 2003, have checked the iso connector block and everything seems secure.

i know its a different head unit, but i had a sony one and had a ipod adaptor same as the cd changer connection and if it was loosely connected it would keep on resetting the head unit, if not could be a earth or live problem!

humm, actually saying that my mates s13 uses the aerial as an earth if i remember correctly
