Headgasket on 182?

Waiting for renault assistance but pretty sure ive blown the head gasket on my 182! Anybody done one before? Just wondered how big of a job it actually is?

big big job, just doing my rocker cover took renault 2 days, why do you think its the head gasket, could it not be just the rocker cover ?

Water in expansion tank has gone brown and smells of fumes, oil level seems ok tho???

AA been and gone now, simply seems to be the thermostat housing so im happy(and Renault).

Seemed odd the water went a totally different colour, ah well, back to the dealer!!!
