headlight adjustment motor

Hi guys
Bought my first clio yesterday and i have noticed that the headlight adjusting motor on the off side front is trying to adjust constantly even when the lights are not on the nearside one is doing it aswell but only slightly. Is this normal or is it a problem with somthing else ? the car is an 02 clio 172 sport. Thanks in advance ...Paul

Check that this is still connected and isn't seized up spray it with wd-40, also unplug the plug on the other side and give it some wd-40 too. Its on the rear beam

Thanks Martin 182 i will have look to see if all is well on rear beam. Im new to the clio scene and i think i have a lot to learn. Thanks for your reply

Hi i have checked wiring to plugs on headlight adjustment motors also checked the part on the rear axle beam all appears to be well but the headlight motor is constantly trying to adjust.i cant find out what is causing this. Does anyone have any more ideas as i have MOT on friday. Thanks in advance Paul

Wait till it gets to level then pull the wire out the back of the adjuster on the headlight

ill give it a try you never know it may pass. Also noticed handbrake cable (off side ) has broken ...more expense ...!!!!!
