headlight bulbs

main beam light is gone drivers side, does anybody know which
one i have to get, as the wierdo in halfords didnt have a clue
and asked me to take the bulb out. However i havent brought the car to work today
and really need to go home with a replacement

its a phase 1 172 its not zenons, main beam, im
desperate to ghet a replacement today as ive got to drive
it tonight! anyone got a pic of the bulb -on the off chance!

The main beam is HB3 and the full beam is H7. Quite a few places dont stock HB3s as not many cars have the optical lights.

Yup halfords should have them for about £8.

I need a main beam and the top "brow" sidelight. No problems getting the bulbs but does anyone have any tips on fitting them on the passengers side. I've had 4 of us try and figure it and we cant!! Are we all stupid!

Lucky you, have you ever tried getting a xeon out of a phase 2 172! you have to remove the entire sodding bumper!
