Headlight Washer jet leaking

On my Mk2 172 I have found recently that my washer bottle fluid level has been dropping fairly quickly. I noticed today that the N/S headlight washer apears to be leaking as there was a pool of water below it.

Has anybody else had this problem and if so what was the fix?

Check to make sure you dont have a cracked washer bottle, its a common problem on 172s.

Otherwise you may need to replace the washer jets.

yeah, when my dad bought his 172, he thought he had a bad water leak on the 2nd day but it was the washer bottle.

Renault replaced it on the warranty. Free of charge.

hhhmmmmm is that to was your xenon lights

Ive got this. Going in tomorrow. There is just a slow trickle form the washer even when nothing is switched on. Is worse when the bottle is full,probabley cause of the pressure.

I think is must be a problem with some kind of non return valve or something?

i had this problem too, 2 days later the washer ball fell out..
