Has anyone ever had an issue getting their headphones to work using the built in headphone jack?
I thought it was a driver issue so I updated them, that didn't fix it, so I performed a system restore back to when it was working and it's still not fixed it.
I then tried fiddling with the jack in and out of the socket and it suddenly decided to work, I noticed in sound properties it was displaying both the mic and headphone ports.
I then removed and re-connected and it stopped working, the jack information was showing just the mic in sound properties.
This makes me think it's a hardware issue, how do I fix this, bearing in mind it's on a laptop?
I guess at some point it's taken a slight knock and damaged something inside but I can't put my finger on how because I only use it at home so I'm not moving it around all the time. It was working fine one night and the next day it was simply not working.
