HeadUnit and Sub question

Hi all

Had a quick look around the forums but couldn't find any exact answers to my questions.

I've just purchased a 1.2 Dynamic Clio, 53 Plate, so not too sure what mark / phase that is...

But I have just fitted my headunit from my old car, it is all okay except in this car, when I turn the ignition off, it turns the radio? and I have to have ignition on to listen to radio. Is there any way I can bypass this as it is just annoying?

And I am going to wire in my sub over the weekend, just wondering if there is a grommit to put the wires through under the glove compartment? And if I can remove the passenger seat and rear seats without triggering the air bag warning light?

Its normal to have to turn the ignition on to listen to the radio. If you dont have this, it would drain the battery after a long while if it was left on. If you really want to bypass this, then just wire the ignition+ direct to the B+. There is a gromet under the glovebox to pass a B+ cable for your sub, its a little ahrd to do but it is possible.

hmm, in my Saxo (first car) the HU never required the ignition to be on to listen to music.
It would take a while to drain the battery so I don't mind
Sorry but the ignition+ to the B+ is abit above me, could you explain? Does it mean, ignition positive to the battery positive?

working from the HU side, disconnect the ignition+ from the ignition and then connect it to the B+. The radio will then think the ignition is on all the time.
