Headunit prob?

I have a problem and i think its with my head unit, basicly my amp is not turning on, the remote lead is connected properly aswel as all the other wires. I decided i would try my mates cd player (ripspeed cmr-i3000) and my amp turned on. Only thing now is i cant swap with him because the dam headunit doesnt fit the car!

sounds like your preout on the 1st headunit is blown or given up -- hence why youre amp still wrks with headunit 2 (ripspeed 1)

theres not alot of room behind where the stereos go and usaully these dvd players have untolds of wires etc that stop the headunit from slipping far back enough to lock into the cage thats provided

you could try taking the top of dash off see if that helps this way you could neatly tuck wires away and you might be able to get it far enough in
