Headunit Volume?

I've got the standard headunit and when i turn my key a notch the volume resets to 15.

I have only just noticed this so is it normal?

I thought that it only reset to 15 if you have it on louder than 15 ?? I maybe wrong though.

Are we talking when you have been listening to music loud, then when you get back in the car it has turned itself down? Mine used to do that when I had it if so. My Alpine does it as well, stops you bursting your ear drums when you have forgotten how loud it was lol.

Sounds like it to me dude. I never have it above 15 anyway.

The volume level when the audio system is turned off will be the same next time it is turned back on, within the upper limit of "VOL 15".
