Heater stuck on full heat!!!

Yesterday my heater decided to stick on full heat!! The aircon had worked fine in the morning then in the afternoon it was stuck! The digital controls all still show to work fine (the temp goes up and down on the display) but that's it! Is there anything anyone can suggest I can have a go at before I go to the expense of a garage please??

Heater resistor pack will be screwed.

It's fixed itself!! Was still stuck on full heat this morning and have been out this evening and it's all in complete working order!! Could this suggest a loose connection on something perhaps?
