Heating stuck on hot / no air con.

Hi all, just bought myself an 02 172 and stupidly didn't check the AC was working. Worse still, the heating seems to be stuck on hot. I turned the temperature reading down to 16 degrees yet with or without the AC on all I got was very hot air from the vents.

Surely this can't be right - even if the AC isn't working you should still get cool air from outside put through the vents if the system is set to cool, surely?

Sounds like a resistor inside the control unit. Bought my 182 with it stuck on lol...

Just had the same issue, had a search on here and this seems to be a common problem. Found this thread on it

Started following the instructions on here about the damaged gear. Turned out each part was fine when taken apart on mine and system worked fine when I put it back together so must have just been a loose connection for me.

May be worth having a look at though.
