Try a 1000W DLS Sub worth 780 notes in a Beach Box - it weighs in at 7 stones!!!!! Thats like another passenger in the car! Madness! Bet it sounds good though!

Cool, DLS are pretty good by all accounts. Im told that you are generally better having an amp that has "head-room" (more power than the speaker is rated at), and you simply keep the gains down, to prevent damage to the sub. The guys on the Talkaudio forum will be able to help you more than me!
