had just filled up with petrol, tried to start up.... NOTHING, nothing apart from lights comin on, didnt even try and turn over/start up,

checked all wires are on corectly etc

PLEASE SUM! HELP, I DONT AV A CLUE WHATS UP

Earth, probably.

Put headlights on, turn ignition.. do they dim? If they dont.. check wires going to the starter - might be earth.

thts what i think cos all lights work, and dial lights etc (handbrake. hazards etc)

sure you havent accidentally immobiised it somewhere between getting in and trying to start it---flick the key a few times and try again

is the battery fully charged.

check starter moter(especially solenoid terminal).

check battery connections.

has it an immobiliser on it and does it disarm.

you need to find why the starter moter wont turn first as that may just be all thats wrong.

Check the wire on the back of the starter motor, you will have one big chunky one, and one small one.

Its the small one you need to check.

Pull in off and clean the contact, put it back on and test.
If you have a voltmeter check to see if you have around 12 volts with the key in the starting position.
