Hello from me....and my new 172 Cup

  clio 172 track car
I just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone on the Cliosport forum.

My names Andy and i've been well into my cars, track days and sprints for a good few years now. Previously i've tended to go for Scoobs, Evo's and MR2 turbo's etc, however of late i have seen the costs for my hobby spiral up whilst the worry and fun decrease! :S

So I bought a little blue 172 Cup from a colleague at work quite cheap and as of today i'm a fully paid up member of the forum!!!

Its the first time i've had a Clio and I hope to get back to basics and have some (relatively cheap;)) fun on track and hopefully meet some new like minded mates.

Also after reading all the good project threads its motivated me to start my own project thread documenting the fun (and no doubt the problems) I have with owning it.

Look forward to meeting you all on track :D:D:D:D

:D:DThanks for all the replies!

Just a quick update.... before I start my own build thread ;)

Here's how my 172 Cup looked when I brought it home after picking it up. I still cant believe how good the condition of the car is.

I intend to do a few mods alloys/slicks basic brake pads upgrade before its first outing on track: which I think will be Cadwell Park in the next few weeks!

(Just going to post some more pics on my own build thread now!)

Thanks again!

Amen to that. Brakes and tyres are all you need. Plus a bit of weight saving. And a decat. With some minor breathing mods. And maybe a remap. Losing the power steering's a good move too.
