Hello & please help-air con

Hello all,

Just recently found this forum; what a great bunch of clio enthusiasts!

I drive an Iceberg silver mk2 172, lots of fun and fairly uncommon in Aus. - 62,000km before it's 1st problem...

Air con stopped working today...AC LED lights up, radiator/condensor fan turns on, but no 'click' and compressor clutch is not getting any voltage.

Any ideas?
There's got to be a relay and/or fuse in there somewhere, but I got lost trying to follow the wiring (there must be 30 pink wires!).

Any info would be great - 'cause having only 1 Renault dealer within 700kms is like having a gun to your head! $$$!

The air con has a safely switch, if system needs regassing it will not allow air con to work.
In the summer my wifes cars air con kept coming on then going off, at the garage the mechanic said look at pulley not turning, even when switched on, also no click as it engages.
£75 later it's back to frost mode..........................JUST NEEDED REGASSING.
