Hi,

I've just brought a Renault Clio 172 from Gumtree after my last car (a Vauxhall Astra) suffered a gearbox failure, which resulted in it being scrapped.

Had never previously heard of the 172, but after viewing the car I knew it had to be mine.

Can anyone offer any advice/help on things I need to watch out for, car is on a 53 plate, with service history.

No, it's silver, done 74k, but got lots of history with car.

Paid £1800 for it, hope i've not paid over the top.
