Hello...

  172 Cup (Track only)
Hello...
Found my way to your site after impulsively buying a 172 Cup on Sunday. It's a track only car with all the important bits for some fun.

Heard good things about the 172's for track use. As a package ..it's tight, nippy and generally cheap to keep in good order so a no brainer for me.

Plenty of info on here and a busy classifieds so happy to pay my dues .

Cheers

Thanks.

I will see about getting some pics up over the weekend.
Got sprint day booked for the 28th of May...This will be the first time I've driven it other than getting it on and off the trailer. It's not easy having it just sat on the drive begging to be driven but, hey..it's a track car and that's that..still sucks though ;) Other than a fluid/filter service and quick go round with a socket set I will hold off any upgrades till after the sprint day..

Just out of interest, is it road legal?
Also, what is your daily?

Nope...It's not road legal. It probably could be quite easily, I think it just needs a cat but for me I'm happy to just keep it as a track only car.

Currently driving a Porsche Cayenne V8 turbo..Prior to that I had an Audi S5. You could say I like V8's and petrol stations. The Cayenne has been fettled with somewhat ..I think we're at 540hp.

I've not had it long...but so far I'm enjoying it.

Are you going to be going out on track at ClioSport Saturday?

Unfortunately not..I'm away with my tribe for our holidays but will hopefully catch the next one. Looks like a good day out :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

Cobra Monaco seats? Worst I have ever had - serious numb bum, even with an extra cushion!!
Cups are great track cars though

Hahaha...I will wear my padded cycling shorts ;)

I'm a novice with track days..Once at Rockingham and a few trips to the ring. That was a good few years back, mind..Never took it seriously just went for the laugh. Last time I went to the ring I had some tuition, which quite frankly was the game changer.
Time to scratch the itch again and with tuition (friend is helping with that) hopefully get into it on a 'fairly' regular basis. I'll be honest I know next to nothing about track car set ups and the like but I've got a decent bunch of friends who know their onions.
I've had a look about and there's plenty of knowledgeable people on here too so I will likely pop up with some amateur questions from time to time so go easy on me :)
