HELP!!! 172 ALARM CONFUSION!!!!

Hi I have a clio 172 phase 2 (2002).

It think it has 2 sepearate alarms:

1.) It has SIGMA stickers on the windows and it came witha sigma alarm manual.

2.) It also has a AUTOWATCH alarm as it came with an autowatch intalation card with a code and also it has an autowatch alarm fob.


I cant put a picture up but what I have is 1 reanult key/fob and then I also have a seperate fob (this says autowatch on it).

Now i can still use the renault fob to open and close the doors and the alarm doesnt go off it is all fine and hazard lights come on.

Now the other key fob which is for the autowatch can also be used to open and close the doors, however the hazard lights do not flash when I use this fob?????????


My question is which fob do I use???????:S

Your cars not got the standard Uk fitted alarm as your is an import hence the aftermarket fitted alarm so problem solving might not be easy for you.

I just want to know if its causing harm or if my car is safe by using one fob over the other.

Also since I have one of each fob I need to really get two fobs. And I dont know which fob to get a duplicate for?? The renault fob or the autowatch fob??

Sounds like a dealers box of keys fell on the floor to me........

You need to get someone who knows about alarms, to look at it for you.

I think there is a car alarm installer just on the north side of the Great West Rd at Chiswick. Eastbury Grove I think its called !
