i just picked my car up from renault today, 1.2 16v, i got 60 miles out of £10 worth of petrol, but there was a funny wee light on the dash board. Also id been gettin an average of 34 mpg for months..... dodgy lambda sensor! all sorted now tho and its sooo much easier on petrol (and i ragged it tonite)
i get about 34mpg outta my 1.2 16v and usually just under 300 miles outta a tank. i always assumed though this was down to my induction kit? should i get this looked at?
I usually get around 300 outa my 1.2, my m8 had a 1.4 and thrashes it ot f**k, were talking up to about 5500 revs each gear change, he got 215 miles outa his last tank
I get 43mpg out of my tank of fuel. A full tank lasts 470 miles, according to trip computer but I usually fill up at 410 miles
Thats a 2003 model 1.4 16V Dynamique with the air con on bout 15% of the time (set on auto mode of climate control, so it comes on and off whenever the system feels its needed! )
Its cold at the mo, more fuel needed for cold starting etc, see what its like when it gets warmer, mines dropped a bit lately, but normally gets back to normal after a long run
i been havin the same mpg worries since my fuel injection was reprogrammed, filled it up yesterday and am going to work out the mpg myself to see if the digital thing has been accurate. was struggling to get it over 28mpg at the weekend until i reset it on the motorway and after briefly flashing 68mpg settled on 53, but has since counted down to 36-37 over the last few days.

Try changing gear!!!......if you drive it hard youre gonna get poor mpg goes with the territory Im afraid even in a 172.[
WRONG!!!! I dont go as mad as some of you guys, brisk and nippy rather than aggressive, and 85-90 on the motorways gives me always over 40mpg using supermarket gas - none of your fancy optimax rubbish!!!!!
mine used to do 19mpg when i first got mine. It was costing a fortune - i might as well have got a 172, anyway reno reloaded the injection software and it behaved itself.
