help abs problem i think

Had a problem with my brakes when i brought the car every now and again wjen i brake the brake pedal will make a noise and the brakes will feel funny i have now had new discs and shoes/pads and it is worse now what could be the problem could it be expensive or just cheap normal fix would be grate full for any help cheers

common fault is snapped abs rings on the drive shafts check the fronts if you know what your doing get a light and jack up the car spin the front wheels and check for splits in the abs ring they may look normal but check them well , ive done about 10 this year!

I can guarantee that it will be abs ring as mine is the same and after last service the mechanic showed me it's cracked just haven't go round too fixing it yet lol

Had my dads pal look at it he said it looks like the abs sensor so might get one of them of ebay and the abs rings are only like £10 so problem should be fixed thanks lads

What size abs ring would i need mate for a 1.2 16v dynamique 51 reg

Same is happening to mine at the minute, had it fully serviced and a MOT last week(Passed). every time I go over 60 the ABS and serv light will come on.

The reason why the ABS reluctor rings crack, is because over time... the CV joint rusts... which swells the ring & cracks it. So i wouldnt recommend fitting new rings to old CV joints.... unless there properly cleaned up of any rust.
