HELP! Air con Compressor needed

  2003 Clio Sport
Hi Folks,

Down here in Australia, summer is fast approaching and my air con compressor has shagged out. Left a deposit of fine metal through my system.
I've sourced replacement evap and condensor rads, and piping from another car (wrecked) which had working a/c, but the compressor isn't the same as mine (and is probably on last legs too given the lack of internal oil!)

So - here is what I know... I need a new compressor. I have a 2002 Mk2 172 - (Vin ending xx 614025 ) and the compressor I'm told I have (by local Renault) is Sanden Pt# SD6V12GE1422.

I'm told that the compressor pully diameter is 109mm.

However, the only source of replacement compressors I have found is: http://www.rexbo.eu/renault/clio-ii-bb0-1-2-cb0-1-2-98/2-0-16v-sport-cb0m-10366/compressor-100354

And the nearest match is a compressor with 112mm pulley - http://www.rexbo.eu/hella/compressor-air-conditioner-8fk351134851?c=100354&at=10366

Has anyone else been through the joy of replacing a compressor and can advise if the pulley size I have been advised is correct, if changing pulley size will be a problem, or of another supplier with well priced compressors??

(Note - local prices from Renault run about $1300AUD - 875 EURO / 725 GBP. I'm hoping I can get something for under 400 Euro/300GBP - as the car isn't worth the money to throw at this otherwise!).

Many thanks from Oz.

PS - the other confusing thing is that other searches bring up my recommended comrpessor as being one with a 125mm pulley...
Also - I have auto-climate control in my car. Not sure if that affects things or not.

Anyone? I was thinking of pulling my bumper off tonight to see if I can get access to the front of mine, but having looked at the guide to do a removable, it looks like I won't get to it without removing the alternator. Is that correct? Is there any way to see the underside or part number without removing it?

Post in the wanted section that you want a ac compessor....
I'm sure someone will post one to oz for you ;)

Should be loads about as people removing ac for weight/cheaper cam belts :)

I've about 5 at home lol
