HELP, all 172ed out!!!

why is it when trying to solve problems with 172's its never black & white. my ph2 is revving its nuts off on every start up, i've changed the throttle body, pedal, MAP, coolant sensor, can't find any air leaks and no fault codes, i'm thinking lamda sensor next, ............any thoughts anyone?????

are you sure its not an air leak mate?

Has the inlet manifold been off lately?

Is the throttle body set up?

Lambda has no bearing upon idle or engine speed... It's 100% an inlet track leak.

What exactly have you done and why?

Check the egg shaped seal under the top plenum

last thing today had a fault code p0136, o2 sensor malfunction, sensor 2.......i think dodgy lamda sensor telling ecu to give more fuel, earlier took manifold off to check seating, looks ok! and the butterfly is not opening on switch on.........got to be.....what do you think??????
