Help! Car won't start!

Hey guys
Just got back from a week away on holiday to find my lovely 172 not wanting to start.
All electrics fire up but I turn the key and I'll I get is flashing lights and a nice ticking sound. Any ideas?

Sounds like a flat battery pal

Had a new battery put it before I bought it. Thought if the batt was flat then no electrics would work? Cheers though. May have to get a battery then...

Not a new one just charge it definitely what it sounds like with the flashing and ticking. Try jump leads to another car if you cant get hold of a battery charger mate
