Help changing dot 5.1 brake fluid to 4

This is for my RS and i cant get answers off the forum


Just fitted my performance friction pads and the pedal feel is still not great
So my next port of call is the fluid


The car came with a recieipt for some dot 5.1 fluid, ive had a quick search and noticed this needs changing every 6/12 months


Ive also read that going from 5.1 to 4 you have to be careful and make sure the 5.1 is fully out


So how would i ensure its all cleaned out?
Ive got ATE super blue to go in, would i just have to do a full bleed all round until i get the new stuff through? Or would i have to do something else to ensure all the 5.1 is out?

Bleed until it comes out. Some cars don't like certain types of fluid iirc so I would check that out first

im assuming the dot 4 will be fine as its the one thats commonly used by manufacturers etc
