Help!! Climate control problem on 172.

Hi any help would be amazing!

My climate control has stopped working, the screen works fine but i cant get it to blow anything out hot or cold.

A local garage had a look and the guessed it was the "heater reostat" and said it would be £120 just for the part so i wanted to see if anyone else has had anything similiar and how they fixed it?

And also if it is the reostat/rheostat how much would i expect to pay for one?

Could be the resistor pack. Short out pins 1 and 5 on the resistor plug. Blowers should come on full blast. If they do then the resistor pack is faulty. If nothing happens it's the motor.

Mine was the motor. And have a spare resistor pack in the garage if you need it. Do the checks first though.

I got a second hand motor and resistor pack for £50 off a lad breaking his Clio on here.

Mine was similar as yours mate bridges 1-5 ad it was the resistor I got one for 30 quid of a guy on here and simple change and cold air
