HELP!! Does anyone know where the central locking sensor is on a 99 clio grande???

Its not next to the interior light, i've been told its behind the gear stick but i cant seem to find anything that looks remotly like a sensor.. really frustrating

I assume you mean the IR receiver? A '99 will be either IR or RF and if it was IR it would be near the rear view mirror. As it sounds like you can't find it we can assume yours is RF in which case the receiver is built in to the MTU.

Thanks, but whats a MTU? An where is it on the car? Im going to scrap yard tomoro if i knew where it was i could get one out off another 99 clio

Multi-timer Unit which is the body control module. It lives next to the glove box under the dash but you can't just grab one from another car amd fit it, they don't work that way... the vehicles security info is stored on it which is unique to each car.

By fitting one from another car will cause the immobiliser to stay active.

Ahh i see, looks like ill just send it to the garage then its getting abit to complicated now haha thanks for your help buddy
