***HELP!!!***hu troubles

I just got a sony m850mp and connect2 adapter for my 2003 clio. But im missin some connecting wires!?!? They go between the standard output plugs and the input plugs for the song hu. Does any1 know what they are and/or where i can get them!! Please help as i have no music in my motor and its sh*te!!!

Bambam mate, i know from readin other posts ur the ICE kings but to be honest i dont think the cables r supposed to come with the connect2 adaper. After lookin at it all again it seems a little weird to me...

At the moment out of the renault dash come 3 plugs a yellow one a white one and black one.

Out of the sony m850mp headunit comes a load of wires with tags on them of which arent held in a connecting block at all they just come from the back of the headunit and look as if theyre supposed to be stripped and plugged into something.

On the connect2 adapter there is a diagram showing the connection for the hu to the adapter, apparently its the yellow one which fits in there. What i dont have is a way of connecting the cables coming out the back of the hu to the ones in the clio. The headunit was boxed from brandnew and was all unopened. I have never changed a headunit b4 but i am definitely missing someting and am surprised no one else has found this. I thing i might mention is that the headunit is from the united states although i was told there is no difference....

Any help would be ENORMOUSLY appreciated as i am kind of sh*tting myself thinkin i have wasted loads of money and have no tunes in my motor at all!!

Thank you bambam & tom i really appreciate all this. The unit is new, is got it off ebay from the united states. It came boxed as new and wasnt installed anywhere previously. ISO converter blocks sounds like what i need to me. It connects the renault pluges to a block which all the wires feed into. Its in the connect2 diagram but not in either the connect2 block or the sony headunit stuff. Do u know where i could get one> and if that s the righ tthing or not!? Based near wimbeldon but always up near midlands due to my uni being up there. I am going to c some1 about it today and am gonna tell em about the ISO connector. If not i may drive up there for your help if thats ok. Bought it from ebay....bestbuyelectronics i think.

you may have bought a US unit there then

the radio wont work, but the unit should still operate once wired in

if there is no ISO block, then it will need to have one crimped on for the power, and one for the speakers, best to let someone who knows what they are doing do this, as the power/earth etc have to go in certain slots

If not ill get some pics up tonight ill get a pic of the headunit wires...and the diagram for the connect2 adapter. U need a pic of the renault wires too?? Ill need to take out my standard hu to do that but if itll help i will. Im a desperate man...

yeah go to halfords (really) and buy a bare wire to iso connector

then match up the wires to the renault connectors.

connect2 wont be an issue, it will have 3 connector sockets, 2 ISO and 1 for the display

reno wiring - 2 ISO and 1 yellow - neer a problem

No radio....isnt reaaally an issue...i never listen to it anyways but this ISO block connector...its not in the box or anything but its in the diagram on the connect2 adapter maybe it comes with the standard english ones or something?? i dunno...have u got any ideas where i can get one??? Aw man this sh!t is depressing...

the ISO from the car will plug into the connects to (i think - not very familiar with these units)

the ISO from the head unit should plug into the other side

but seeing as i dont know what the connects2 looks like i cant really help

Ok Ill get my ass down to halfords and question them about this connector. If all else fails ill put up the pics on the site to c if u can help. If still a no go, then i appreciate all your help (as i have said b4)...and will remain unhappy for the rest of my miserable days....f**kin americans... I have a busy busy day today! i got sort this sh*t out and the go up to thornton heath to have my induction kit fitted cause im too dumb to do it myself....thanks again guys.

i think the only thing which is missing is the connection from the hu to the clio wiring the connect2 seems to have all the right plugs... the iso plugs from the clio just dont have a matching male socket on the headunit....just bare wires (labelled and coloured the same as the wires coming out of the clio wiring...

Hi guys dont know how much this help but i have managed to get hold of a picture of the wire which connect into the sony headunit. It has the bare wires on it just as i said

as u can see they wont fit directly into the renault wiring on their own. I found this thing though which looks like it would do the job but as im clueless i thought id show u guys...
