Help identifying rubber hose found loose in engine bay

  Fiesta ST3
So was just checking the engine today and found this piece of hose loose by the CAF.

any ideas what it is and where it should go? car is driving ok and no visible leaks, the hose is hard rubber and dry, sort of smells like coolant when smelt if that helps

thanks

Its for the acoustic valve, look down the gap underneath your airbox "air feed" it will plug into that if still there...

If not just block the pipe off :)

Actually, looking again you already have the acoustic valve pipe attached, just between the throttle body and inlet manifold?

Thanks mate

just went out to the car and looks like the acoustic valve pipe is attached, goes from the inlet under the airbox and down towards the arch liner.

looks like someones just dropped a bit of vac pipe into your bay in the past, the only vac hoses on the sports is the acoustic valve and brake servo. Plus the carbon canaster one but that short and fat

could it be scuttle chamber drain pipe?

i take it cant be the battery drain pipe as that is plastic?
